Q: What is a skin?
A: Well, Wikipedia explains it best: In computing, skins may be associated with themes as custom graphical appearances that can be applied to certain software and websites in order to suit the different tastes of different users. Easy, isn't it? (:
Q: How do I install the skin?
A: This is really simple. You need two programs: WinRAR and (of course) Winamp. Firstly, you download the skin by clicking 'Download' at the left of the preview image. Then you:
1. ...may unzip the .wsz file wherever you like, and install it by doubleclicking on it.
2. ...If it doesn't work, after you get it, you unzip it (move the content of the file to another location) into C:\Program Files\Winamp\Skins. This is the default path, so it may be different, if you have installed your winamp on a different disc (such as D: for example).
After doing this, launch your Winamp, right-click it ond choose Skins. The program will show you a list of all the skins installed. Just click the one you want to use.
Q: My skin doesn't work!
A: You probably didn't unzip the *.zip file you downloaded. You DO NOT paste the *.zip into Skins folder. Most of you get confused because of the fact, that when you download a skin it is usually a *.wsz file, which looks exactly like a *.zip file. I pack the *.wsz into the *.zip to prewent Internet Explorers changing it's file extention (which happens very often).
Q: Okay, I did that, but it still won't show up.
A:1. check if you got the skin into the right folder.
2. Maybe you didn't install modern skin support in the installer? I believe it's showing up when you install the program, but I don't remember for sure.
3. Try also this: Start > Settings > Control Panel > Folder Options > View tab > Uncheck Hide extensions for known file types > Click OK.
4. You may also download the skin again, cause something might go wrong...
5. Maybe your Winamp version is too old, I make my skins on ver. 5, I think.
Q: Why can't I see the fonts you used in your playlist?
A: That's because, you have your fonts display turned off, and you can only see the Arial font. To fix this, you have to go to settings in your Winamp (Ctrl + P) and then click on Display on the left side (if you don't see it, try to find Playlist, like in my version). Use Skin or Language Pack Font should be checked.
Q: How do you make skins? Teach me!
A: Oh well, I'm not good at teaching, but there are many tutorials on how to make winamp skins out there in the Web, so I suggest you to go and search for some. (:
I make my skins in Photoshop cs2 and code them in Notepad. In my early works I used Skinamp, but they went out terrible, so I learnt to make them on my own. I use Skinner's atlas as template. Making classic skins is easy, once you start. It's like learning something new every time you make another one. ; )

(Thanks for trying to help out btw!)
However, check if you got the skin into the right folder.

If this all doesn't work, I'll make a .zip file, and it should work.
Maybe some of those will work out.
